will a k series 8v engine fit straight onto a mini subframe and straight into the car?????

No - this is asked a lot so have a look on the 16V Mini Club forum for more information on fitting a K-Series, there's lots of build diaries and gallery pictures to help, but basically it involves heavily modifying the Mini subframe and doing lots of work with the wiring, suspension, driveshafts and fuel system.
