i recently took mine out on a 1992 998cc mini city, i'm 17 by the way.

i'm the main driver, with my dad as a named driver as it cost nothing more. unfortunately i couldn't have my parents as main drivers and me as a named because my mum doesn't drive and my dad has a company car so doesn't earn any no claims bonus.

anyway.... its cost me £1800 fully comp. was more expensive with just TPFT as insurance companies don't really want people taking a TPFT policy out at the moment (due to the good old credit crunch(or so i'm told by my brother that works for an insurance broker)).

so i have fully comp and free breakdown cover...

wow... i dragged that out so much longer than i needed to.

There are so many threads like this... use the search facility located top right of your screen.

Insurance premiums take into account your age, post code, where the car will be kept, modifications, car use, security, colour, number of seats, etc etc etc etc. Rendering any prices or quotes anyone else gives you entirely useless.
