Do you have any tips for getting rid of a long scratch line? (I think it's been "keyed" a few years ago). I've tried rubbing compund but it doesnt help much at all.

Cheers. Guido.

hey gsms with regards to that scratch on your car..... take your fingernail and feel across the scratch if you can feel it then it is through the clear coat and will not polish out..... however you can still minimise the appearance of the scratch. if your cut polish didn't work then try 2000grit wet sand paper on the scratch and then follow up with your cut polish, swirl remover, wax etc.

I tend to find that g3 rubbing compound is the best for removing scratches as long as its not mettalic paint, and as for polish well ........Mer is the best you can buy the g3 from any car paint suppliers mer you can buy from Halfords !!!
