Hi everybody
its getting closer and closer to the big day but i may have an issue with my clutch, we havent set up the clutch yet so that might be the reason but when we turn over the engine in 4th using the wheels it makes this rubber like grinding sound every so often and the clutch release plunger wiggles ever so slightly, the engine turns over fine but its makes this noise... any ideas, and just to stress we havent turned the engine using the started but just by jacking up one side of the mini and turning the wheel. if there are any mini mechanic pros that can help out that would be great.
cheers

make sure the bolts through the transfer case attaching things like the clutch slave are not contacting the ring gear

yeah we made sure that it was free of any obstructions, i mean the engine turns over its just this noise is bugging me, i'll be setting up the clutch over the weekend and starting the engine for the first time so im hoping that i wont have to jack the engine up to have a look and try and fix the problem its been 4 years and the making and i would be so gutted if there was a problem with my clutch
