Hi out there what is a better diff ratio for a 998 i am looking for better take off 3.2 , 3.4,or 3.6 Thanks!!!!!!!!

3.44 is the classic diff on a Mini.

3.44 is the classic diff

3.44 is the classic *final drive*

diff is different!

3.6 will give you better acceleration, but will give it shorter legs - ie revs higher at higher road speed...

Yes it is, but they MUST be a matched pair...

There's only 1 A series 17 tooth pinion, but there are two A+, also there are two A series 62 tooth crownwheels ( on for a 3.6 and one for a 3.4 ) and also 2 A+ crownwheels

Ok so if you have a A or A+ 17/62 diff does it work out as 3.6??

yes... 62/17 is 3.6(ish)

Thanks would the 3.6 work well with a ligthened flywheel sw5 cam and stage 2 kit , i what to pull away at the lights rather dan top end speed thanks, or what other ratio would do for this??

what is a stage 2 kit??

what top speed are you after?

3.6 will ruin your cruising economy and top speed!

Stage 2 kit is stage 1 + stage 3 head i am not really after top speed more acceleration

i am not really after top speed more acceleration

well the 3.6 or above will give you that
