Hi all.
My son purchased a K-plate(1992) 1275 Sprite Automatic from someone on E-bay for £700. :)
In good condition overall (small rust patch on n/s A-panel and some badly welded patches here and there).
Drives Ok.

Main problem is small oil leak.
It is coming from the gearchange linkage cover on the gearbox.
I would imagine that there is a seal where the selector shaft enters the gearbox itself. Am I right?

If so, where would I get a replacement and is it easily replaceable without going to a gearbox specialist?
Oil change is probably due so would like to cure this leak at the same time.

Other niggle is the gearshift lever itself.
The sliding part under the main cover, which has the green segment to tell you what gear you're in, has obviously got stuck in the car's earlier life and now has a long slot in it - the lever is in position 4 and the green segment is on 'R'.
Contacted the local Rover 'dealer' who couldn't even find the part on their system - let alone supply one. :)
Anyone know where I can get one from?
