Hi all,

I'm trying to fit a heated rear windscreen into my 1969 MK2 Cooper. It has been rewired in the past to use an alternator. I've been looking at wiring diagrams and it shows live feed coming from a bi-metal instrument voltage stabilizer, is this just for cars using a dynamo?

If so can I just take a live feed to a switch, then from there direct to one side of the heated screen (with a 10amp fuse in between the switch and screen). Then just earth the other side of the screen to the shell somewhere?

Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks

Kyle.

in all honesty i think you can simply take a switched live from the fuse box to the switch

Cheers.

So I can take a live to a switch, fuse it between the switch and screen. Then earth the otherside of the screen to the shell?

Thanks

Kyle.
