Wasn't that the old type of filter as fitted to early Minis? You had to replace the filter inside the canister, not the replaceable canister type today?

Purolator is really just a brand name. You can still buy Purolator filters over here (screw on type). Being a Purolator filter doesn't necessarily mean they are cartridge filters.

Purolator is also somehow affiliated with Facet... I don't know how. In many parts stores over here you'll find Facet fuel pumps sold under the Purolator name.
