I've just stripped down two front hubs ready for a change to discs. I was very carefull as i took them apart not to mix any bearing parts up as i know bearings come in matched sets. So each bearing had its own box and was labled.
After cleaning, thought id check the ID numbers just out of intrest to find they didnt match up.
The outer rings are with the wrong roller bearings. So roller A's are with ring B's and roller B's are with ring A's, think that should explain it.
Should i match the pairs back up?

I would put them back in the same place as you took them out because, even though they may not have been matched when they were originally fitted, they will have now worn together.

As far as I know the inner and outer races are identical, guess there'd be fitting instructions and markings if they weren't.
