I was cleaning up my original CE spindles a few weeks ago... and was looking at how simple the drum brakes bolt to the spindle. And I'm looking at them, thinking.. "I could just have a CNC guy cut me a mounting plate to mount the caliper from a junkyard car and find a disc that fits the mini lugs". It looks soo simple to do and would be even better if you have a CNC mill or something to make a mounting plate, but it is very easy to find (well here in the US) a CNC guy that can cut a plate for you, and it is even easier to find cars at the junkyard that have all the disc and calipers you need. well shoot, popular and everyday use cars are real cheap to buy replacement parts. you can get stock replacement rotors for a Honda civic for under $40 brand new and I know calipers are in the hundreds range but you can rebuild them really cheap.
So anywho. I did a little searching and found this website of this guy's Mini whom he made Honda Civic disc brakes fit his Mini and supposedly work really good.
I don't know if alot of people do this already but this is the first Mini I'v seen that doesn't have a $2000 Mini disc brake setup on it but yet has disc brakes.
This is what I'm gonna be doing with my Honda conversion so I can save $2500 that a fancy Mini disc setup cost.

One thing I'v noticed to in this link is that the guy had the Civic rotor lug pattern redrilled to the Mini lug pattern.
