how can you tell a car is a cooper and not a copy from looking at it, what is special about them in the interior/exterior etc...?

depends on the year, i thnk 92 onwards came with walnut dash as std =\

you talking 60s cooper or 90s on cooper

the only thing is that is should not have bonnet strips , but some one may have added them :smartass:

The interior looks pretty much identical to my 92 Cooper...except mine has red carpet.

Unless they've gone to the effort of replacing the door cards, door handles, winders, steering wheel, dashboard, seats etc, I'd say its a cooper!

Although mine has John Cooper signature stripes, and some others don't. Does anyone know why this is?

the cooper RSP had signed bonnet stripes
the cooper carb had no bonnet stripes
the cooper spi + tpi had bonnet stripes with no sig
