yeah 1098s have longer stroke
putting the stage 1 and the tune up helps it rev too.
And for some reason whenever the electrics get sorted out it seems to be more revvy/responsive?
Nah!

Mersey tunnel, single box RC40, wind window down, back off the throttle in third to achieve 30mph, double declutch to second and floor it back up to 40, ish, lift off at that point and the SPi seems to burbble nicely on over run. Grin factor in the high 90's Just go through the tunnel for this reason, its worth the toll, any other car and I go round.

Bringing it back to original topic ...............................
For me, it's just gotta be meeting up with the rest of our convoy after I got lost for THREE HOURS getting out of Barcelona after IMM......
On my own, strange place big time !! Never driven abroad before, but I did find myself going up this mountain, and thought, nah, must be wrong this.... so phoned the only 1 contact I could reach and EVENTUALLY after 3 hours got back to the fold !!
But the end of the trip made me feel so proud, because my beloved 1993 Cooper didn't let me down once. 2,305 miles door-to-door. WONDERFUL.

Well as I have a big hole in my exhaust, I like droping it into 2nd. and letting it engine brake.
Then as you get to like 20mph, You hear the poping and backfiring!
Either that, Or I love to get the back end out on wet roads!

Doing the whole Italian Job, with my brother, especially driving around Imola.
Driving round Silverstone sitting on the handbrake doing the gears with Cowboy driving and Nick (aka Brawlox or whatever his name is )
Driving round Milton Keynes undertaking and overtaking loads of cars at all the rounderbouts.
Opps, I forgot about Millbrooke...Driving the mini round there was awesome!!!!
Any beating a Metro at Drag Wars 2004 was brilliant as well.

no harm intended. im just surprised to hear people saying 6.5 is high is all. You're a big shiney bell.whoa...wait a minute. you mean to tell me a minis tiny ass engine cant even rev to 6.5k?? my 2.5L four banger in the porsche would rev to 7k all day long....
sorry bout that.
and the engine crud getting shoved out. yup. tis true. as the engine runs it collects carbon on the head/pistons (even more so a pampered car) and its actually very good for a motor to take it up in the revs to clear some C**p outa there.
some ferrari owners i think have the ferrari cleaning or something. where they find a gear and hold it at load way up in the rpms to blow there engines clean

Yea, I regulary take my Pagoni upto 8 or 9k to keep the engine nice and sparkly. Don't really do the same with my Jaguar E-type Eagle though because its an older car and just have the engine rebuild every 200 miles by my mechanics. The AMG mercedes my servants drive seem to be fine though depsite the lack of high rev usage.
