as it says. i have a hole... its at the front of the floor panel on the drivers side, right before it joins the bit that curves up by the arch. (if that makes sense?)

its about an average finger diameter size..(well thats all i've pulled out for now)

whats the best option... just a patch over the hole? or a new floor panel?

depends on how bad the rot is!!!! if it is literally a hole, then a patch will be fine!!! you need to clean around it to see how bad it is first.

i had same clean it up , rust treat area and then weld a small plate on it.

get your self a angle grinder with a wire brush attachment

would one of those wire brush bits for a drill work too? what should i treat the rust with? that metal restorer chemical? or just take it all back to bare metal??

a drill one will be ok but a grinder one is better

To do a proper repair it will need taking right back to Bare metal, then weld a patch of fresh metal in.
