how did that cope anyway, i thought mini electrics and water didnt mix. the dizzy is well under the water nvm the air intake.
I don't think the BBC were paid, in fact the Marines came up with the idea, and Clarkson happens to like Fords, note how he said all since the Focus have been good to drive, etc, etc.
Yes it was a good advert, but the new Fiesta is a very good car.
It is my mini in my avatar, the electrics coped by being properly looked after:
- Standard splash guard was fitted.
- Points and condensor standard dizzy.
- No additional protection, (no rubber glove/bag over dizzy, etc).
The only thing that suffered was the exhaust taking a knock and leaking between the Y-piece and the link pipe, nothing 10 minutes under the car couldn't fix.
