If I had the funds that would be ideal, just what I wanted. Just looked at Roofless topic, it’s one of the best sub boards I’ve seen.

I’ve been offered different 8” subwoofers but I’m not sure which one’s to go for if any. Either:
•Sony, around 500w (doubt that’s rms rating)
•Cerwin Vega HED (200w RMS)
•MB Quart
Which would you recommend as the best brand to go for?

Over Christmas I’m planning to fit two 8” subs and finish off fitting the front speaker pods. I also have two 4” vibe speakers that I was planning to fit into the dashboard before I bought the pods. But I’m thinking that it might be too much and I should just have the 2 way alpine speakers?

Vegas or the Quarts for sure (personally, i'd go with the Vega's on reuptation alone...Just my opinion mind!)

After reading some reviews I decided to go with the Cerwin Vega's. I fitted them to the speaker board today, I will try and upload some pictures when I get them in the Mini if people want.

Has any one had a problem with there amp draining the battery overnight? I think it's the stereo that's not turning the amp off. Any advice would be helpful. Here's a picture of the subs, there a tight fit into the board.

If your battery is going dead it could well be the amp. Once your headunit is off check to see if any of the lights are still on, on the amp. Did you ever sort out the front speakers?

No couldn't get them to work off the headunit. I checked in the boot and the light on the amp turns off but I can't think what else would drain the battery.

The battery is about 3 months old and I've checked that its charging ok. For the past week I left the amp disconnected and its been fine. I was going to put a switch on the remote wire going to the amp to make sure that its off?
