after doing some mods to my spi cooper i am pleased that i have inproved the mpg it was doing 34 at a push and now i can get 44mpg if i drive not above 60mph i was wondering what the rest of you folk are getting and from what engine.

About 50mpg and that's with very short jorneys, down country lanes and in the cold.

atm... I am only getting 60-65... on a run, i.e Motorways in decent weather - 80mpg >_<

I get 35 mpg from a '93 1275 carb. Dont think I can get much more out of it.

Actually that's probably a bit optimistic as that's based on only quarter of a tank and the gauge probably isn't that accurate.

i used to only get about 25 mpg, but then i had the valves reset and new valve stem seals, and it shot up to 40ish, but thats driving and having fun but not absolutly ragging it, but mines a sprite so it will have different gearings to your cooper, so yours would prob be a lot more efficient on longer runs than mine!

I can do about 250-260 miles to a standard tank on a long run.

The mini gets about 15mpg on a run. ;D
