selling plates?

right, i'v brought my mates writen off mini, someone else is having the rear for a trailer, and i'm having the engine, my dad bought up that someone might want the plates. how do i go about selling them?
Do i just sign the v5 over to them or what?

you take both cars to your local DVLA office and they will do it there for you

you need both V5s , MOTS , and tax disks

It has to be MOT'd and Tax'd, which might be a bit tricky since it is now a trailer?

How long ago was the car turned into a trailer? Is the MOT still valid (even tho the car is no longer with us?)
Otherwise you have lost the use of the plate. Its the DVLAs way of screwing every last penny out of drivers, because it now goes back into their system and they re-issue it as an "age-related" plate to another car, for a fee.
