tomorrow (14/12/08) i am picking up my mini a 1988 "F" reg mini Mary Quant designer this is my second road going mini i bought my first when i was 14/15 and had it to do up for my 1st car, but when i was nearing 16 i desided i needed a 50cc to get me to and from college so i sold it ( the worst desition i have ever made)
It was a 1979 austin mini 1000 in red with white roof and bonnet stripes with bucket seats and half roll cage it was the coolest thing ever when i was nearing 17 i was desperate on another mini as i loved mine so much it was my pride and joy but at the time there was nothing so i settled for buying my mums peugeot 106 i liked it but did not love it and when i got insurance quotes i was shocked at how much it was going to cost for a 1.1 106 so i got a quote for a mini which was 400-900 pound cheaper depending on insurer so i set to and looked every night on ebay and autotrader for a mini i found afew in my price range but none were what i was looking for but i was going to settle for it until i found the 1
It is a 1988 austin mini Mary Quant designer 998cc in black it has the original interior minus the steering wheel (not the manliest thing ever) which has been replaced with a mountney 1 it has i think 13" alloys which come off a newer mini the mini seven if that makes sence the car is not completely original as it has chrome bumpers and black arches which when new were apparently grey items i cannot wait to get back on the mini scene especially it being mini 50 year anniversary looking forward to going to mini events might even see you there lol i will add some pictures so you can all see hope you like it

there are also two pics of my race minis the yellow 1 a 1330 with webber carb and exhaust which the scutiners sed was not race leagal so was stripped of all good bits then scrapped =( lol
and the red white and blue 1 a 1275 which is now a round nose car as i crashed when raceing and fiber glass fronts dont take much to break lol
