Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):

i took off my rear door cards to...well that doesn't matter. but i have condensation on the rear quarter panels which is running down the panel and rusting at the bottom. seems that theres condensation in the boot, and on the petrol tank...

how can i stop it?? or at least reduce it? because obviously i'd like to replace the door cards at some point

cheers

you can buy some bag's from frosts which suck moisture out of the air over a period of time, then you dry them out and use them again. i have 4 at one point, 2 in the car, and 2 drying. Or buy a de-humidifier from argos (other shops are avaliable) and run that for a few days, you will have to keep an eye on the tank though, it will fill quick.

is anything else wet inside the car like carpets, soundproofing ect?

probably getting water in the car.

my favs for leaks are

front window seals, runs down the glass into the door then onto the front and rear carpets.
front screen.
floor plugs, depending on year can be well naff.
rear quarter light windows, seals seam to shrink over time.
rear screen.

in that order.

I'm guessing that having a whacking great hole in the floor might be to do with it then? lol

its being welded up today.

so because theres moisture getting in, when it gets cold it settles on the panels?

so in theory when the hole is sealed up and everything dryed out... it should stop it?

cheers

holes in the floor, yer know how you feel, mines starting to look like a patch work quilt underneath, and all there other leaks, front windows metal rubber seals and screen seal I find the big leakers.
you know when there is a leak on a cold day all the window fog up

Get a pair of your misses tights cut them in half and fill them with cat litter lay them in the back door pockets and they with absord the moisture.
I use the same trick for drying out the condensation from my drysuit after ive been diving.
However a couple of pointers always use new cat litter as if its used it gets smelly and make sure your misses isnt wearing the tights when you cut them in half

so... everyday? lol

so Bl00dy annoying... i have one of those window de-mister pad things, everyday it just turns into more of a sponge than a quick wipe thing, i find myself putting water back on the windows most of the time!

hopefully once this is done today i'll borrow a dehumidifier for a few days, and will sort the problem out...

Untill i find another hole... lol
