Yes me and nick (aka the carbon weezel) have made all of the carbon for my car. Usually starting with me designing it on paper and
then chatting to nick about how we could go about making it. This is how Carbon Weezel started, Me and nick were always trying to think out of the
box when deciding what to do with my mini project. Most of the carbon he makes has started out life being a mould for my car and yes the rocker
cover was a one off originally too im afraid. But if your interested and he gets a few enquiries Im sure he would think about making a few of them next year.
As to whether the carbon will be painted or not, Im going to leave that decision till the end...I want to see it all in place and decide from there.
Ferret - that pic was in the mocking up stage, the brace bars are only there for extra strength as Im led to believe from the racers I have spoken to that
the front subframe is a pretty strong item on it's own anyway. Just got these back from the powder coaters along with a few other bits they look awesome
now there painted!
You can see from this pic that you have to make the brace bar navigate around the radiator, when using a radtec aluminium radiator, standard radiators
may not be a problem.

I have also fabricated some small brackets to come off these, to hold the oil cooler.

Carboy001 - the aluminium petrol tank is from Allard via ebay...If there currently not selling any on ebay you can contact them via there website
http://www.allardmot....com/allard.asp
The tank is of excellent build quality, you will also have to think about fitting a fuel guage sender unit for road use.
TomF - there is a posibility that he could make a frontend and the doors are going to be for sale sometime next year, when he's finalised the design...
Currently weighing in at under 2kg thou! Best thing to do is contact nick at www.carbonweezel.com via his email. There is also a clicky link at the
bottom of my signature if you ever need it...
I hope Ive answered all the questions so far, please dont hesitate to enquire about anything. Ill always answer when I can...

Seeing it all written down here makes it look kinda straightforward.. rather than the mass of original ideas and work that you/we put into it.. definately well worth the effort though..
As Azz said this is where Carbon Weezel started.. a little black car, a bunch of ideas and a crazy cartoon.. Happily carbonweezel.com has blossomed, to the point where Ben has now come on board to help run the company and help with the workload..
Keep up the posts.. wana see how this project works out!

I don't want to jump on the post too much and distract from the fantastic mini project but I'd like to say that Nick at Carbon Weezel is in the process of fabricating a one-off full carbon centre speedo binnacle for my project. I haven't seen it in person yet but I think you'll agree it looks fantastic! so I can recommend Carbon Weezel also.
Anyway, back to the mini project....keep up the good work, i'll forward to seeing it come together.
Luke.

Id just like to quickly mention that I definitely didn't intend this to be an advertising space for Nicks
company, Although it may have at first come across this way. If he wants to start a thread to that effect that would probably be an excellent idea for him and his business. Ive put a lot of effort into making this post about the car and the interesting things we've done with it and not intentionally plugging his products. Id hate for everyone to start posting all of nicks current or recent jobs on here as my post would get completely lost in it all.
The binnacle does look awesome though LukeH.
Hi mighty mini jack and lewis, Yes I did make the brace bars myself. I am unsure what guage the steel is though, It was rolled steel that I welded solid bar into either end. I then drilled and tapped left and right hand threads into them for adjustment. The only tricky bit was getting the passenger side around the big aluminium radiator. Definitely prefer this look to that of the square box section ones that they sell everywhere.

Christmas is such a pain for getting car parts delivered, got all this time off this week and nothing to do until my parts arrive...
Got all my rear suspension back from the powder coaters to find the parts missing that I need to put it all back together with...
Shouldve double checked my parts list...

Yeah will hopefully be putting some incarnation of miglia arches on her, will probably be one of the final stages of the build though.

I know how you feel on part deliverys, the final part for my 1380 build is one piston ring, and it's just so fristrating waiting on parts.
Anyway your car is fantastic, I love all that carbon its georgous keep up the good work.
