Hello

I have just received a pair of rear cooper laurel mud flaps and am ready to fit them I have no fitting 'kit' and was wondering how most people go about fitting them in the first place?

I ask because i know some people don't like the original fitting kits, others simply screw straight into the arch (don't fancy that too much)

Also does anyone know if you can get or actually have front mud flaps / guards on their mini I have been looking and can't really find any except multi fit types which look a bit ropey

Thanks

Rob

I've only ever seen rear mud flaps for Minis and I believe their screwed on?

I suppose you could drill some holes and then treat them with rust inhibiting stuff and then use pop rivets instead?

I am sure my rears just came with self tappers and the mud flaps had somewhere to screw through.

Cannot say I have seen a set of front flaps by Rover, that doesn't mean they don't exist, just I haven't seen any. And if they do exist there must be a giant pile off them because you would think they would make the same amount of fronts as they did rears, yet rears were obviously very popular where as front weren't.

Anyway ramble over, if you find some give me a shout as I would like some to to stop my fat pack arches getting pebbledashed.

Yeah if I manage to find any I will let you know. I was hoping some kind of rover spares/options boffin would know the answer as I fancy stopping some of the spray and debris hitting the arch/floor pan at the front.

Does anyone run the plastic inner wings that you can get now? I bet they are pretty good for minimising wing corrosion and maybe a bit of road noise?

Anyway

What those 'Camloe Undershields'?

I think only Derek's Minis does those now and if they aren't fitted properly, then they can hold the muck and damp against the body and speed up the rot instead.

I don't know the make but they were in a mini magazine article a while back talking august/sept/oct last year they looked decent and the magazine liked em too. As i have my arches off at the moment and am still pondering which way to go regarding chrome trim or w+p arches I thought they were a good idea but if they don't do the job then maybe best avoided, my mini certainly doesn't need any help with rust issues!
