Having just tried to find something on this awesome forum, I've given up on the internal search function.
I advise you to do the same and use google!

Open a browser with google and type this into the search box:

site:www.theminiforum.co.uk [my search terms]

Where [my search terms] are the things you're looking for.

Examples:

site:www.theminiforum.co.uk clutch faq
Link: http://www.google.co...s...earch&meta=

site:www.theminiforum.co.uk minilites rover
http://www.google.co...s...earch&meta=

At least the results LOOK relevant... ;)

I just did that too ;)

"Google
The local version of this pre-eminent search engine, offering UK-specific pages as well as world results.
www.google.co.uk/ - 7k "

I love the word "pre-eminent" although I had to look it up (I wasn't taught English very well at school.. kids these days eh! :teehee: )

"Superior to or notable above all others; outstanding."

this is really good thanks daemon child! The internal search never works very well on this site, maybe this topic should be pinned?!

TMF's Internal search is fine when i use it, I really don't understand how it can be hard to use. you tell it what to search for and which forum section to search for it in. simple.

Nice idea using google though.

I've never had a problem with the internal search function either.

Isn't there a Firefox plugin available in the General Chat section aswell?
