Bear in mind that (apparently) "The SPI tank and pump aren’t really up to the job as they only put out 1 bar of pressure which means that if you intend to run more than 10psi of boost it won’t be able to supply the pressure you need."

As for power, you could take it off the fuse box.

i've tested 4 or 5 spi pumps and all put out circa 1 bar (15psi ish) measured straight from the pump. so any more than 10psi boost is pushing it to be honest.

hi guys thanks for the replies!

yeah i looked into it before i started, i dont intend on anything over 10psi, cars only really for show, but when i am driving its nice to have that wee bit of poke!!

so just take a new live feed from the fuse box and earth to the chassis?

thanks

ps, what would 10psi see me roughly?

you need to run it through a relay, fuse and inertia switch really dude.

10psi could be anywhere between 80bhp and 120bhp depending on which rollers, who's tuned it, what parts are fitted etc

You can use almost any remote mounting injection pump - pester a motor factors to check tech specs in their bosch catalogue. You don't need a return in to the tank if you Tee it in to the line between the tank and pump.

I'm sure there's a good diagram of the ERA mini pump wiring somewhere on the web - worth a google. Find the diagram and you'll see an inertia switch isn't essential, but not a bad idea 'n a trip to your local scrappers should uncover one.

You need 3-5psi more than the maximum boost you'll run. Virtually all injection systems will run at several bar, you'll need less than 2bar.

well i had a thought there, would it be possible to take live feed from the fuse box to a switch in the dash and then to the fuel tank.
meaning to start the car i would have to turn the key to ACC flick the switch for the fuel pump to come on then start the car.

im thinking this way for security, the car wont start unless the pump is activated?

im i being silly?

The SPI tank will be fine for what you want and has a return so that's the easy bit. I've wired mine into the oil pressure switch using a relay for safety (so if you crash and the engine stops your pump will stop) it's also got an inertia switch to.

if you get stuck i do have a couple but will need time to find them
