Hey all,

just wondering if anyone out there in the Chester area has a Gunsons gas tesater i could borrow for a day to set the carb and timing up on emily.......

my snap on strobe says its 28 degrees out, although when i set it to the correct 8 btdc it runs like a bag of nails!

Granted its running on unleaded and ment to be a little bit further advanced but 20 degrees is pushing it.

Fueling seems to also have a flatish spot so a tester would be handy.

Also does anyone know what the best 'pre-tweaking' set up would be..... i.e 8-10 btdc and 3.5 C.O???

Many thanks

Um - you have disconnected (and plugged) the vac advance before trying to set the timing??

aye around there should get it going...

Yup set the timing with the Vac advance disconnected and the revs set at 1500 as per the autodata sheets.

Seen a couple of exhaust testers on ebay MOT type and gunsons so i'll keep an eye on them.

We picked one up off Ebay and it's been a god send. Works just fine and came up with the same levels that the MOT station did. Did everything you could ask it to.
