I have been thinking of fitting Mk2 rear lights to my car because i want something a bit different and i just wondered how difficult it will be for me to convert from the standard lights on my mk4 to the mk2 light.

I know that i will need to fit a reversing light, but is the any other modifications i will need to do to get the lights to fit?

Thanks
Mike

EDIT: Also, any idea where i can get a reversing light that will match the fog light?

You may have to chage the connectors on the wiring, but apart from that straight swap, and you don't actually NEED a reversing lamp, but you will have to retain your fog lamp.

Do you mean mk1 lights, the rounded kind?

If so you need to weld in some adapter plates, and wire up the new lights.

Didnt think mk2 lights were much different to later cars. But you live and learn.

the mk2 lights were 1 piece lenses (as opposed to 2 piece) and didnt include the reversing lamp (which is the look im going for)
