i've just been helping my mate with his mk2 golf and thought the rad looked to be perfect for a front mount conversion on a mini :dontgetit: my rad is 80mm deep 450mm wide and 270mm high. keeps it cool though lol doesn't reach above 60 on the road and in traffic will only ever get to 80. just tryed to get a picture but its raining :D will sort a photo out at weekend george... off to find your project thread

rich

Ahh thats good, glad you can confirm that for me, numbers can be a bit meaningless untill you actually get see it, i'll do a bit of measuring as that could be a serious possibility now. cheers rich

Hay rich here's a link to an alloy mk2 golf rad i found, could be perfect for this conversion were talking about, where do you have your header tank for yours? and do you have to mount it at a certain level to the rad?

cheers, george

thanks for all the nice comments guys  the motors a full race 1380, it recently did 138bhp at the wheels at only 7000 rpm .. pulls hard to 8500 but couldn't grip on the rolling road :P the gearbox is a 4 speed jack knight straight cut dog box :mrcool:

cheers, rich
