You need around 110bhp to beat a saxo vts with a standard weight mini. 100bhp with a 680kg mini (Standard weight) will give you a better power to weight ratio. However a saxo puts down its power a bit more smoothly.

Mine has 118bhp flywheel and just under 100bhp at the wheels.


I’ve kept level with a Clio 172 then pulled around 3 cars length where he sat until the round about. I left him at the round about. He lost his bottle.

A lot of it is down to gearing. I’m sitting on a cooper s ratio box with a 3.77 diff.

havnt realy done alot to it to be honest lately, wel until last week,

built my engine up nearly now, just need to put gearbox, clutch etc on
il put some pics up later

been a long time since iv bin on here,
havnt realy done much to the mini as i got made redundant from work so stil havnt got it painted
just starting to get back into it tho,

heres few pics of my engine il take somr newer ones tomorrow tho

had a day of work on tuesday so started priming the inside, hopefly get some colour on the inside at the weekend,
somee time at the weekend hopefly pick my cage and that up to, then at the mini show on sunday were i can pick up my last few bits for the engine like bypass hose, crank washer etc and the engine can be put back in the car.
got bored and raised my bonnet a bit aswel

went stanford hall at the weekend
spent a load more money
but atleast my list of parts needed is getting smaller,
the weekend started of with me picking up my full rollcage, then collecting my alloy radiator and m stly steering wheel and boss,
then on sunday went to stanford hall and brought a few bits
its getting ther slowly now
hoping to maybe put the engine back in on sataday but depends how it goes
athe the show i brought
clutch
gearbox to engine gaskets as mine are wrong
wheel nuts
arch piping
thermostat housing
bypass hose
mirrors
rear clear lenses
breather
lumenition leeds
dizzy cap
and a few more bits

started to fit the cage tonight so i can mark were i need to drill the holes,
didnt realise ho much hard work it was on your own trying to support the cage while you pull the legs inwards using a ratchet strap while scraping the paint of the side bins,

atleast i no how to fit it now tho so i can be careful when i refit it once its been painted,

ent up for sale! he was renting it to his own company for 400k per quarter! lol. there excuse was they couldnt afford to rent it anymore! yer im alrite, trying to find time to get the mini on the road!

I should be seeing you at a CV1 mini's meet some time in the future then?

fitted the rear seat witch matches my front bucket seats
boot area all painted started putting it back together
smoothed the holes from the number plate light
originaly my doorcards were black leather with a hard plastic red stripe so i carefull primed and painted the stripe with some paint i had left over from painting the inside
engine nearly ready to go in, should be in the car before the end of the week if all goes to plan
trial fitted my cage before painting the inside and marked were all the holes need to be drilled

got the engine in friday night,
started to put the cage in yestoday and that also
