Hi, can anyone help with either where to fit or where to get the readings for oil pressure / temp on the honda k20 vtec?
i have the digidash lite, it comes with some sensors but i have no idea how to fit them.
my first guess is that the small oil pipe visible above the oil filter needs tapping into?
thanks in advance.
Al

I plan to tap into the sump for the oil temp (could use tapped sump bung) and remove the original pressure sensor and fit my own (using SPA gauges).
I would not go tapping into the pipe you talk of as I get a feeling thats the water pipe for the oil cooler.
Hope this helps.

Al, I asked the same question to the guy that supplied my charger and ECU, this was his reply:
----------------------------------------
Sender wise, I would not use a sandwich plate for this, as:
1) temp wise, you want to see the temp of the oil in the sump, before it get's picked
up by the pump etc. (I tend just to drill and tap the sump for this one).
2) pressure should be taken 'after' the oil filter etc. else your just measuring the back-
pressure to the filter etc.
There are two places to tap into for pressure, the first is the std oil pressure switch
place (it's 1/8 NPT) or the Vtec pressure switch (at the top of the engine with a blue
connector), this is on an M10x1 thread.
on balance if your using a stack etc, then just loose the std oil switch and use it's
place, as the stack warning light is going to cover this (or run a T and both)
------------------------------------------
I looked into a sandwich plate then decided against after reading the above. Use the info as you see fit.
