Fitted a new aerial this afternoon as the old one was a touch rusty, and have connected it to find it doesn't have a good signal ??
It picks up radio one easy, but other stations keeping getting lost. Have checked through and all seems exact as the last, and was an identical aerial ?
Wondering whether I've missed something when attaching to the wing ?
( Must say mind I found the gromet to cover over the wire into the car a real pain to refit. )

No, I went for a drive to see if it got better, and just as bad. Maybe just a faulty aerial ????

If the clamp underneath was biting into rust rather than good steel there is effectively no ground plane and so it won't work well.

I shall check.... in the morning.
I think it may be as "felt" my way to fit it. I'll remove the wheel in the morning to give me more room and clean up the inside of the wing.
Thanks
