Steering Rack Shear Bolt-what You Need To Remove It

It wont let me post in the FAQ section, so i have put it here..can an admin move it for me please, as i would have found this info very useful when i was doing my steering rack! thanks. here is a link:

i have seen these on ebay..and theyre invaluable!! i found that the shear bolt on my mini was a size 12mm and i only had a 10/13mm socket so i cut the bolt down a little with a dremel and it came out no problem! You will probably need to hammer the socket onto the bolt head, so it can cut into it. hope this is of help to someone!

That looks very similar to the Snap-On set I have, bet they are a lot cheaper though!! They are great for removing anti-tamper bolts on ECU cages.

I've got a set of these, fantastic for removing the door hinge nuts/subby bolts etc.

You can't post in the FAQ no. We can. It will be re-arranged this year if I get my wish. Thinking about it you're right, this does get asked a fair bit. This might get in.
