The indicator is now mounted back where it should be, the air filter is back on the carbs and I managed to get the screw out that might be the cause of the oil leak ... not looking good though. Since I didn't have a replacement I left it out so I can think about what to do with it.

4 downloadsI then attached both bottom engine steadies to the engine, though not to the subframe yet as I was suffering from a lack of time and the correct drill bit. The left one (below the clutch) was a bit odd though. It should be secured with three nuts but would only fit onto two of them. The third one, the highest one of the three just didn't fit. For the time being I used just the two nuts and left the third where it was, which was no problem. Again, will have to think about it.

He also put a small weld over the bit where the handbrake attaches to the cross member as that had come off.

I then put some primer of the new welds but will probably treat the whole floor to some wire brushing and Hammerite in the near future.
So, all that needs doing now is a new screw put into the timing chain cover and then I will try for an MOT probably (if they have a slot left) next Monday as I have that day off.

It's made by a company called OBA and is the model cisa, which is a reference to Footstep of the Cisa (in italian: Passo della Cisa), famous footstep among Italian region Toscana and Emilia Romagna, once centre of race from place Poggio Berceto to Passo della Cisa. The Passo della Cisa is here where the dotted line crosses the yellow road.
OBA are still making steering wheels for cars and boats and also some other accessories.

A compliment to the DVLA Borehamwood, very nice staff, very helpful and very confident that it should be no problem. So, we'll see ...
