Call me old fashioned but when buying anything, I think it is always nice to like the person you are buying from.

So the banter and light hearted comments contained within the For Sale section to me was an indication of what the seller / buyer was like. So why has all this relevant banter now been removed, virtually as fast as it is posted?

It appears to me someone has been given powers that are "going to ones head" ...

Business is not only about the product you are selling or the name across the door, it is also about the person that is selling it, and any insight into that can only be seen as a bonus

Spam and unrelevant topics are and will be removed. People are sick of looking for items and then cant work out if its sold or not due to amount of discussion going on about other things.

No one as powers that have gone to there head. As you all have been told before, things like this are discussed between the full admin team and we've all agreed to clean up the for sale and wanted sections for the benefit of those geniunely looking to buy or sell.

I think the banter is important and agree with SOG, yes some thread do get long and are often hijacked going off topic, either ingood hum ur or technical, however there is no reason why the tech threads within thread cant be moved (well i think they can but no techi) and leave he humour there after all there we all like a smile when reading a thread.

also if an item is sold why cant the poster edit the original first post witht the word SOLD,, this would then stop those unwanted reading

Yes i altered it to include all of what i said.... Not what you selected out of what i said.

If you have a problem with using our for sale or wanted sections SOG, then no one is forcing you to.

Not everything is getting removed. Some banter and helpful comments etc are been kept. Its irrelevant spam and general chit chat that takes the for sale topic 'off topic'.

If anyone as any problems with posts been removed from for sale and wanted topics. Please contact a member of the TMF team via PM to discuss.

It is good to get feedback about the forum and I'll pop your comments in the staff bit just incase anyone misses this topic.

There has been discussion about the for sale section and as far as I was aware it's just bumps and irrelevant posts that have been removed to make it easier for potential buyers to view each topic. I've just checked and seen all posts removed have been stored safely and not deleted so if you'd like any back just ask any of the mods. There are usually posts by the seller in other sections which may tell you a little more about their character if required.

I have been changing to topic titles to sold on the items which have been reported as sold, I personally don't really get time to check each thread in there and so some may be missed. If you do spot any it'd be awesome if you could report it and a lil sold can be added to the title.

*Edit* Woah just seen all the posts added since I started to reply (yes I know I'm proper slow), am I ok to clear them?
