if you could pm me that'd be great.
your mini is one of the best i've seen, just gives me more incentive to get out and work on mine.

To answer a few questions, my arches are really 2 sets. The fronts are Somerfords Mini group 2 works, and the backs are ABS group 2 Classics. The fronts to me are lipped around the front and under the bumper too much, anyone any comments? Ive just been looking through others and they all seem to stop in line with the front bumper.
My reverse light is a Lucas one, and i got it from Stafford Vehical Components.
The mini is now parked in my uncles mushroom house, where its going to stay untill i get it finished and i move house. I had to drive it there, in the rain and mess of a road, so its no longer clean. Thats the first rain and mud the shell has seen since it was taken off the road 2 years ago.
I also had a friend look at it as to why it was running so bad. He told me its only running on 2 cylinders, the 2 fueling it. So a new set of plugs, HT leads where ordered. Also ill be having a look at the tappets during the week.
Ah, not a great day at all. But never worry, at least the mini didnt take of into the wind the way the shelter did, and no other damage was done to it.
Oh yeah, in reply to the comment on my bucket seats, im still not sure as to whether they are too high or not? Maybe its just the style of the seat. As usual, any comments would be great on the above. Cheerz

Just a quick question though. Where did you manage to pick up your clock (Clock as in what's the time Mr Wolf)? My dad's after one for his Mini so would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know.
Have you thought about lowering the steering column as well? I myself own a '98 MPI mini and have just ordered a Wood & Pickett steering wheel kit and think they finish off the car perfectly!
Top stuff.

Regarding the steering drop bracket, ive already fitted one, and yes, it does make a big diference. Though its a tight squeeze to get into the bucket seat wiht it dropped slightly, but ill manage, lol.
The felt on the rear bulkhead behind the tank, thats standard on all MPI's, i guess its to deaden the sound of the pump inside the tank.
Also, to answer another question, my clocks, well the mini had the time clock as standard when i got it, but i bought the other 2 Sportspack clocks (volts and oil temp) from ebay, then the clock on top of the dash is an oil pressure clock, a Magnolia Smiths one, which is a near match for the other 3. It just adds something, plus, an oil pressure clock is essential i feel. All MPI's are wired for the 3 clocks, you just need an extra small bit of loom and the clocks. Though cutting the wholes in the dash was a nervy job, but turned out well.
Oh, bed calls! Thanx again.
