A 3" system is too big for standard 998,

I'd aim for 2" max, this will give you plenty of the sound you want but not noticeably affect power.

I'd recommend the Playmini single box system, side exit, with rolled tip.

Have you already got the correct downpipe for a newer, larger exhaust? If not you'll have to buy a 'reducer' (Google search 'magic pipe') or are you going to just put a fancy back box on?

It's only the tail pipe that is 3 ince, the rest of the system is 2 inch. I have one fitted on my 998 as well as a stainless Maniflow LCB. The quality of the Fletcher system is absolutely awsome, sounds pretty good too. The perfect exhaust for the mods i have planned in the future.

Only want a two inch system with a 3" tail. I have already got the manifold and Y Peice ready to go on.

Ive decided to go for the playmini one.

Thank you for all your advice, much appreciated

I'd go for a PlayMini/Maniflow myself as they are very well known and havent heard much bad about them.

RC40 is the optimum size, any bigger and you may lose power.

best thing is to do is decide if your bothered about your power and mpg first, THEN decide if you want a loud one THEN buy it :P
i have had a number of different ones all single box and twin box.
fletcher side 3"
rc40 1" 7/8's and 2"
maniflow 1" 7/8's and 2"
DTM 3" and 2"

the best thing do is get the look that you want and then concentrate on the sound as you can mod the exhaust with baffles and wadding, ive done it with mine and it is just amazing. i have a RCM centre pipe as well.
