Ive just recently dropped a 1275 gt series a into a 998 mini mayfair, had the engine reconditioned and will be driving it around at the start of this week comming :P cant wait.
BUT i cant help wanting to know what would be the next big thing for my mini, a twin cam weber or a twin su-v both are very nice but im not sure on there downfalls and witch one give the better out-put??
i was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction?

Err, what exaclty do you mean here?

I presume the Twin Cam Weber is actually a side draught twin choke Weber but you could mean twin split Webers. What kind of SU carbs are you talking about? There is no carb called an SU - V. Do you mean twin SU HIF or twin SU HS?

Just use the single SU that came with it or else you will waste your money

I have to agree with Paul - having tried the twin SU route, I wouldnt bother again.

well ya can get a set of twin split webers or the SU HS4 i think its called, i dont know much about either of them i just know they create a twin carburator system and i was wondering what one would be the best to buy and what gains you get from the engine?
to be honest i think they look the dogs as well.

Its not the extra juice that bothers me, its the fiddling to get them set up, and keep them there. Especially when a single carb can do essentially the same job.

Hmmm... Twin-Weber or Weber-twin - that's the question :P

Or is it a single twin weber or a double twin-weber or a split weber-twin?
Noone knows... Is it one or is it two carbs?

Anyways: neither of them... :P
