Andrew Frankel last night took home a classic mini and decided to write a review on it!!

Here's the Review

Overall he seemed to really enjoy the driving experience, although not so much the crampedness of it all!!

So, anybody know who's mini he drove? Anyone from here?

"So next time you pull up at the lights in your fast modern car alongside a dilapidated old Mini, don't spend too much time feeling sorry for its driver. There's every chance they're having more fun than you."

You can bet your life on it

This is the best bit and more relevant today than ever: -

Most compelling in this age is that all the fun it has to offer can be sampled and savoured at entirely legal speeds.

So surely a Mini is the sports car of the future, especially if you want to keep your driving licence intact.

Exactly the same for me, when i first got my mini ironically i was too young to drive it and drove around on a farm my neighbours relatives owned loved every minute of it. Reviews like this give me the added back up that i'm doing the right thing doing mine up and once it's done i certainly wont forget it.

I'd love to see one of the main stream magazines such as top gear and autocar doing a piece on the mini with a modern drive tests etc to celebrate this momentous year.

I hope Top Gear mention it, i dare say that Jezza will be happy to do a review judging by the road tests and snippets about the mini he's done in the past

Maybe Top Gear might decide on actually showing the infamous mini they paid to be restored. I doubt it some how.

I'd love to see a super quick roadworthy mini (perhaps Z Cars) in the hands of the stig and see how well it does on the track.
