when did the sorn run out? You'd have got a letter to the registered address?
Dave
it ran out in April, i was the registered keeper in about june, so they have had plenty of time to send me a letter!
I just didnt think about the SORN at all untill now! i am still new to this game!

The car is declared SORN to a specific keepers address, as soon as it's transferred it needs to be re-SORNed, it doesn't carry over, so technically they're correct. You've moved it from the address on the SORN.
I've just picked up the remains of a car, and as soon as I get the V5 I have to reSOR it, think you get 4 weeks.

Their computer probably won't let you get tax so you may end up being referred to a local DVLA office.
