That mini is supposably 150-160bhp according to its owner.

yet it runs an 17.8 second 1/4?

Im only running 118bhp yet mine will do a 1/4 in 14.6 seconds at just under 100mph and mines a heavy weight!

Yeah, the 17.8 was before the charger went on when it was a low compression 1380. It would wipe the floor with your 118hp.

And its a wrx, 2.0 turbo because we know the owner.

For fast acceleration you need revs and lots of them really and low gearing.

mine will pull a good 7000 before the power starts dropping off.

so about 30 in 1st. 7000 revs.
30-50 in 2nd. 4500-7000
50-80 in 3rd 4600-7000
80- line 5300 up.

3.7 diff with cooper s gear ratios.

The power to weight ratio of my car is just a shade under 200bhp/tonne.
Your friend will be on around 220bhp/tonne. but it doesnt rev as high.
