Or you could use an external image host, such as Photobucket, and you would not need to worry :shifty:

Each user is allocated a small amount (around 10mb) of space to upload pictures (more for TMF+ members) onto the forum. Unfortunatley this goes directly onto the forum itself which takes up valuable memory!!! this is why it's limited.

Please register with photobucket/ image shack/ Flickr,... they're all free picture hosting websites and you can then directly link to your pictures using the [img] tags,.. this saves space on TMF and gives you a large amount of file storage.

Raw picture formats such as the ones off phones and cameras naturally take a very large amount of space up, sometimes 3-4mb per pic....... so the trick is to resize pictures to about 500x500 in MSpaint, when you save the picture, save it as a JPEG. This will bring the picture file size down to around 20kb big... meaning you have tonnes of room left.

picasa is a great tool that can automatically upload folders of pictures to a picasa/google account to be used elsewhere on the web.

possibly ideal if you have alot of pictures for a rebuild thread.

http://picasa.google.com/

If you register on there (or already have a google account), then download the software. Every photo you put in one of its folders will automatically appear on the internet.
