After having Inlet manifold and full exhaust system fitted, my car has been running terribly.
Took it to motoscope today and after 2 hours (and £138) on the rolling road she's running sweet.

I know Dyno results have so many variables, but still everyone wants to hear them.
S0...................

Max power @ wheels= 49.2 BHP @ 6115 RPM
Max Power @ Engine = 70.1BHP @6017 RPM
Max Torque = 61.2 pounds ft @ 6017 RPM

I just managed 85 MPH as well (on my private test track  )

Mod's are Fletcher Exhaust which i think looks and sounds fantastic.
Maniflow Stainless steel manifold with LCB. At just over £200 this was quite expensive.
Minispares water heated inlet Manifold.

Prep carried out before session.
New dizzy cap, rotor arm, coil, leads and plugs were fitted. Cooling system was flushed and replenished.

excellent results for a std 998 then. Would have expected them figures from a std mg metro 1275

Thanks,

I was thinking that as well. I thought it'd have about 40BHP at the wheels and maybe 55-60 at the engine. That's from what I've seen in the magazines of other peoples tests.

Matt.

I took my car to them last year, got it running absoultley brilliantly.
I'm going to take it again soon but I am hoping they will be able to do it in an hour this time since it's just a top up kind of thing.

Maybe we could organise a block booking and see how that goes. To be fair, mine was in need of a serious tune up today, and I expected it to take the whole 2 hours lol.

Figures are a bit too good for a stage 1 998 imho - but that isn't really the issue.

I don't think MJ is much of an issue, if they can judge if it needs altering you could easily tap in the numbers for them.

Motoscope are outstanding....

Tuned mine no problem (with Polestar)...I go there every year

Richard is a down to earth guy and puts up with my C@@@ year after year...

The rolling road is very new and is calibrated correctly - however as mentioned there are many other variables.

what do you mean too good? you think the machine is way out or there's more done to my car?? It's only covered 40k miles and I have nearly all the history for it. Only stuff that is missing is from the lad that i bought it off, he doesn't seem to have bothered keeping receipts or anything. he was only young though, and sold it to buy a corsa.
