Hi all,
Considering dizzy options for my new engine (1061cc, Morspeed PH3 Cam, lightened balanced crank, 12G940 head) and will probably go for either an Aldon Red or Yellow.
Which of these are more suited to the engine?
and will the Britcon Electronic ignition kit fit into these and will it be any good for this application?
Thanks!

Go for a yellow, and yes the britpart leccy ignition will fit... have a yellow with said part on my 1330.

I'd perdonally choose neither. If you must have a dizzy on a modified engine then go with the 123. But even these have no vac advance, so are pretty useless for a roadgoing car. with no engine load input how can the correct advance be selected?
Mega jolt/squirt will give you the best results for all your hard work making a decent engine.

I'd agree with the statement above about a mappable ignition being the 'best' option, but not a 123... even with them you may have a choice of many advance curves, all of which may be equally 'not right' for the engine as the aldon, but at least with the aldon, as it's a Ball and spring dizzy it can be modified to suite, where as a 123 cannot.

I don't think I can afford a 123 at the moment as the versions with vac advance are like £300.
I'm not going for all out race performance just something better than standard, suitable for the engine with more reliability than points.
