As the title says, im looking for a good set of speakers to replace the standard Rover MPI ones. Ive an Alpine 9855r ipod headunit so something decent.
Any ideas? Think they have to be 16.5cm in size, tho correct me if im wrong.
Thanx

Nice HU you've got there. Entirely depends on you budget but I have these and they sound fine:

Obviously you can spend a lot more, but these are plenty for the rear if you plan on adding speakers to the Front of the car too. >_<

I had those very Focals in teh rear shelf of my Accord Type R. Great for clarity, but not much in the way of bass from them, they're more a mid. Saying that, with a sub, they sounded spot on

Ive never heard Rainbows beofre, so any help there would be great. Heard a set of Infinitys in a store once thought they where decent, is there much difference??

Aha, you see where im heading with these then! :( (never planned on using them for bass, as like you say they are Mid to High range like a component set)

Personally, i'd go with the Rainbow speakers (do a bit of research and you'll see what a bargain is being offered) but it is personal taste/wallet that will govern here. There's certainly nothing wrong with Infinity quality-wise. :)
