I have just replaced the old tatty looking trim round my windscreen for a nice chrome shiny one, flippin hard work even with the little tool and the fairy liquid, but worth it i think, just need a grille and some bumpers now :cry:

looks good ... and the job is a lot easier when it is warm, i.e. in summer

Yes i know, but i am too impatient to wait till summer.......is could be years till we get one :cry:

First error right there :cry: Fairy liquid contains a lot of salt, and as all Mini owners know, salt helps rust!

i did mine and replaced the whole seal under torch light a few nights ago, i wanted it done so i got one with it...


i used silicone grease, works really really really well! i'd recomend it! and it smells nice too :cry:

i was to impatient and did mine the other week also doesnt help when you have old rubber

I gave it a good wash off after to remove as much of the W.U.L as possand i will be giving it a proper wash at the weekend :cry:

As long as you rinse it off it'll be fine. Some people wash there cars with it haha

just to add on what i said earlier,

that silicon grease works really well, it comes in a spray can, and a little straw thing like WD40. made by 3in one

NO NO NO, autoglym all the way for me right from the shampoo, to the super resin wax, i even have autoglym polishing cloths :P
