Just a question out of general interest...

...is the distributor on an Spi Mini just the same as a 1275 Carb'd Mini?

...and if that's the case I'm guessing that the ECU has no control over ignition?

Thanks,

Ed

The distributor is completely void of all the bits in a carb'd dizzy except for the rotor arm and cap, those bits are pretty much the same.

The ECU controls the ingition advance. Adjusting the dizzy does not alter the advance for this reason alone. What mal adjusting the distributor does do is, cause running problems and burns out the cap and rotor.
