hi when using hi-los i believe if u want to drop (sit it on its ass) lol for the rear you have to use shorter shocks as youll find that if u lower to much on standard shocks when u jack the car up the hi-lo and rubbercone falls out the sub frame, i seen a lowered shock set brand new at bingley hall the other day for little money, cheers
hope this helps,

you should get stiffer 'sports' dampers with hi-lo's fitted. or ideally adjustable shocks.
not sure what the original question is asking though

well i fitted hilows at the rear today and all round Gaz adjustables they are kol if you want it on its ass it wont work
i tried i had it set up stiff but it rubs the arches both sides im just letting my shocks settle then i can lower her down again other wise they do it for you after a few 100 miles so will let you know if you like

Can you rephrase the question? It sounds like you are planning to make your Mini critically unsafe, the suspension should not be loose. I don't fully understand what you're asking though.

Im guessing your suspention is loose when jacked up not when its on the ground.
Mine is the same i have adjustable spax shocks, its fine when on the floor but when you jack it up the hi lo will become loose.
