1994 GTD40 Mini Pick Up | April 15, 2007
Built by GTD Cars in the UK as a one-off track car, it's a GTD (Ford GT40 replica), with a mini body stretched over it. Made me smile when I first saw it, and driving it has the same effect.

Not my taste, but got to appreciate the time and energy that people put into them.

I would say more money than time and energy... rich people's toys :) Probably just took them into a bodyshop and said 'do this'... Not to my taste really...

Disagree with what you're saying, The pick-up with the fancy paint job was feature in miniworld Feb '07 Edition. He did the work.

I think you will find alot of the people who own these cars do alot of the work.

Not to my taste though.

it's sort of a dilema that the classic mini has. we don't want to modify too many cars or the number of original cars will be lowered considerably, but we don't want to stop modifying them as we don't want to lose the traditions of mini-mods.
I think for this reason, heritage shells are a very good idea, means that people can make cars as modified as they like without feeling guilty.

It's a "Sporting Break", yours for around 20k I think. Custom made in a place in Europe somewhere - mini mag did a feature on it a few months ago.
