Any ideas of 0-60 (not interested in top speed) off the following?

1) 998 bored out to 1030cc, MG head, MG camshaft, LCB, HIF44 carb (can be 38), single DTM exhaust, 3.44 diff ratio
2) As above with 3.76 diff ratio
3) As above with 3.9 diff ratio
4) Add a shot of 12-15hp nitrous

Thanks

Yeah, I would love a 3.9 diff. Finding one will be rather difficult though :) :)

That setup sounds very similar to my engine. 1030, 276 cam, modded 1275 head, HIF44, 1.5 rockers, can't remember the diff I think is is a 3.7?
It has been on the rollers at about 60bhp at the wheels in a different car when it had a lightened flywheel so I would expect above 55bhp now. I had a run out with my GF in her car and it was slightly faster to 60 (and I mean slightly). Her car does 0-60 in about 10 secs so I guess that is about what the mini is doing.

In a couple of weeks it will have fully mapped ignition so should be even faster

I think you'll find that a lighter flywheel won't affect the BHP of the engine, but will certinally affect the 0-60 time.

Anyway the reason it has less BHP than when I built that engine originally is because it has smaller inlet valves.

And the Carb is only a HIF38.

Thought that you should know what you are driving.

mmm good point. Not sure about the carb though what happened to your HIF44? So it was you that stuck that dodgy 38 on in the first place and left me to sort it out!!! Never the less it will have over 55bhp.

The main reason it was faster in your car was that your car was much lighter and has smaller, lighter wheels.
