Hello,

I hope that I'm asking this in the right topic and that I'm allowed to aske about this problem on this forum.

I’m building a Mini racer for the circuit. Therefore I’m slowly gathering the parts I need for this project. I found a practically unused older model tachometer Stack ST400 (80mm, 0-4-8000 rpm) from a Formula racecar without a wiring harness or diagram to hook it up. The racecar was sold years before with the harness in it… Stack England was not able to help me, so I was wondering if maybe anyone of you can. Does anyone have a manual or/and a wiring harness for this type of ST400?:

Model: 400
048 44
Serial: 62836
12v supply
Freq: 4 cill

I would be very thankful. It would be a waste to throw out a gauge in such good shape.
Kind regards,
Jelle

Stack does list the ST400 on their web site. However, they do not apparently give out their instruction manuals without registering with them. It sounds like you have visited their U.K. agent's web site. You may have better luck contacting and requesting information from Stack in the U.S.

Here's a link to their web site:

This is a link where you can request manuals and brochures.

Pegasus Racing is a U.S. distributor for Stack and I found the manual on their web site.

The pin out information for the connector is on page 16 of the PDF. If you do not have the mating plug for the socket on the back of the tachometer you may be able to buy a similar Molex brand connector that fits. If not... you can probably buy Molex connector sockets that will fit the pins on the back of the tachometer and connect the wires one at a time.

Good luck. Let us know how the tachometer works. That tach is worth over $500 U.S. new. It sounds like you got an excellent tach.
