Fully agree.

The guy can't say anything without people ripping him.

He is the most self-opinionated bloke that I know of though. But that just makes the guy more legendary.

Shame TG isnt on at the moment for him to have a funny dig at them when they do the news!

Here's the story. Click.

I think it's a rather pathetic dig at someone who is known to be out spoken and opinionated. I can't really see how any one would take offence to this though.

I think you'll find that Clarkson is actually a moaning idiot himself. If he is being attacked by his fellow whinging pillocks, why on earth are they not armed to the teeth???

it's not the first time people have slated him for being outspoken. This is clarkson, it's his persona.
Some of the things he says are contradictory, we know that, but really... there's been worse things said about Brown before...

CLARKSON FACTUALLY CORRECT

JEREMY Clarkson was factually correct, it was claimed last night.

As the Top Gear presenter faced a storm of protest after describing prime minister Gordon Brown as 'a one-eyed Scottish idiot', experts stressed the constituent parts of the statement could all be verified.

Julian Cook, professor of semantics at Reading University, said: "Think of it this way. What if Jeremy Clarkson had divided the information into three separate sentences?

"For instance; 'Gordon Brown has one eye'. Yes he does. No-one is denying that. Secondly, 'Gordon Brown is Scottish'. Yes he is, so are lots of other people and that is reasonably normal.

"And finally 'Gordon Brown is an idiot'. Well yes, of course he is. If you didn't think that then clearly you're some kind of idiot. And possibly Scottish. With one eye."

Professor Cook added: "It's all about language, it's all about context.

"Put it this way, if he had called Gordon Brown a 'Jocko moron whose eyes are all wonky', or maybe 'Long John Silver, the kilted sh*twit', or perhaps even 'Winky Mc*melon*nut, the alcoholic sheep-shagger' then yes, I could see how some people might find that offensive.

"Or if he had put on an eye patch and sat there shouting 'jings! crivens! am such a wee eejit!'.

"Or if he had wandered around the stage with one eye shut, bumping into things while sticking his tongue inside his bottom lip and banging the backs of his hands together while screaming 'och aye the noo, I'm Gordon the spazzy', then yes, that is perhaps going a bit too far."

Professor Cook said Clarkson's sentence was not only accurate but possessed a 'beautiful simplicity', adding: "Or what about this one? He puts on an eye patch, a kilt and a tam o'shanter and performs simulated intercourse at the wrong end of an inflatable sheep and then falls off the stage. Yeah, I'd liked to have seen that."

:- :P that is one of the best quotes i've read in a while!

Its rediculous that noone can put their own view accros without having to make a clearly false "public appology"

I think he is only saying when the majority of people think. He doesnt care what people think of his opinion, good on him!

Won't happen. Clarkson owns the rights to Top Gear, as in the brand, the name, the logo etc etc
If the beeb got rid of Clarkson then there would be no more top Gear, which is one of its top earners.

I'm fairly sure Clarkson actually owns the company that produce Top Gear, and the BBC just buy it from him, so they can't sack Clarkson, they can only ditch the programme. I'm sure JC wouldn't have any problems finding another buy.

Of course I could be completely wrong on all the above.

You mean the channel Dave which is owned by UKTV Network which is jointly run by BBC Worldwide and Virgin Media?

Plus he only announced yesterday that Top Gear USA is dead.
