Is there a way to adjust the idle jet screw without using a lifting pin or lifting the dashpot because the filter is on. looking for a procedure to adjust idle richness without taking off the air filter and my carb doesnt have a lifting pin for the dashpot like my hs4 did thanks

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?

You can use something like a small screw driver in the carb throat to lift the piston directly - wire coat hanger?
